DIY table hack, making my old furniture work in my new home

There is no going back now the saw is in the table....
I love my dining room table, if you follow me on social media you would have seen my school trestle table turned dining room table a lot, it photographs amazingly, has a lovely texture and is just a great piece of furniture. (even better it had only cost me £10 in a reclamation yard)
But in the new house the long and narrow shape of the table just doesn't work. I could have just bought a new table, one that is a better shape but why not try and modify the one I have first?
Lets go back in time 18 months to the summer I chopped up my dining room table!
That summer my dad was over and he helped me turn my long table into an oval one. As you can tell my dad is very handy and very precise, a perfect table upcycling help :D
