I provide an overview of what the ongoing issues are with the emergency closure of the westbound lanes of I-195 Bridge over the Seekonk River in Rhode Island and why the design and construction of a replacement bridge will take much longer than anybody had hoped due to poor decisions (in my opinion) made by Rhode Island DOT and the Governor of Rhode Island.
