Industrial Revolution 4.0 with Ajei Gopal
The first industrial revolution happened in the 18th century using water and steam power to mechanize production. The second used electric power to create mass production and the third used electronics and information technology to automate production. Now, there is a fourth industrial revolution happening which is causing an upheaval in almost every industry, worldwide. We sought out someone at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution and met Dr. Ajei Gopal, President and CEO of ANSYS Incorporated, a world renowned company based in Western Pennsylvania that produces engineering simulation software. Paul Guggenheimer talked with Gopal about the depth and breadth of the changes it will bring to our everyday way of living.
