About Vera Lopes:
Vera Lopes is an actress from Rio Grande do Sul, acting in theatre, cinema, poetic-musical recitals, commercials, etc., with more than 30 years of experience. She lives in Salvador/BA and focuses on acting with artistic expressions based on black culture. In Rio Grande do Sul's cinema, she made her debut in the award-winning short film O Dia em que Dorival encarou a Guarda, in 1986, directed by Jorge Furtado and José Pedro Goulart. She participated in the feature films, equally awarded, Neto Perde Sua Alma, by Beto Souza and Tabajara Ruas/1998, and Neto e o Domador de Cavalos, by Tabajara Ruas/2005. She was the protagonist in the short film Antes que Chova, directed by Daniel Marvel/2009, and also participated in Tolerância, by Carlos Gerbase/2000; From the African Colony to the Black City, by Paulo Ricardo de Moraes; Brazil an Eternal Quilombo, by Julio Ferreira/2006. In theater, she performed in the shows Hamlet Sincrético and Transegun, by the Caixa-Preta Group, both directed by Jessé Oliveira, among others.
