Fighting for Earth Science in Congress
I introduced the first resolution to recognize Earth Science Week since it began in 1998. My resolution highlights the importance and broad impact Earth Science research has in our country. Earth sciences make everything from managing drought to weather forecasting and GPS possible. As our climate continues to change, Earth Science research is even more important for society to understand how these changes will impact their way of life. It is critical that we study and understand our “pale blue dot” - our one and only home.
