Supporting Silicon Valley in the Latest Spending Bill
Today I spoke on the House floor to offer my perspective as the Ranking Member of the Commerce, Justice and Science Subcommittee of the the U.S. House Appropriations Committee. While there are still areas that need improvement in the overall Omnibus, I am proud of the CJS portion makes good steps toward funding critical anti-violence programs, minority business development, and NASA programs. I fought especially hard as well to ensure we dedicate funding for an additional National Network for Manufacturing Innovation center and provide sufficient funding for the 2020 Census to ensure all people are counted.
