I have always been interested in these lonely weathered structures left over from England's industrial past, and now perched precariously on the rugged rocks of the Cornish coast, but I never got round to painting them until now.
I think the main challenge with this scene is to render the huge craggy rocks sticking out into the ocean and make the two abandoned engine houses appear almost part of the landscape.
A really enjoyable subject.
