Okay, so let's dig in. So we know that there's a big difference between being proactive and reactive, especially when it comes down to optimizing your site for search. As well as overall performance.

And you may already know that Google has a tool called lighthouse that does just, this. It's a report that you can run that gives you opportunities to improve overall SEO as well as overall performance. And when it comes down to AEM performance is critical.

I'm often asked by clients, how can we make sure that AEM is as fast and optimizes absolute possible, especially when launching new features. So Adobe over the last few years has integrated AEM with Google lighthouse reporting. And it's really super simple to run and in fact you can actually do it automated so it always happens and set systems around this to ensure your performance is top-notch.

So, how do we take advantage of this? Now you will need development support and getting this set up. And what happens is every time features are built through code and deploy to your environments. There is a series of steps that runs to actually build the code. And in the development world, we call this a pipeline. And when that pipeline is executed, it also will execute the lighthouse reporting.

So you might be saying to yourself, well, that's great, but how can I really use that for SEO and improvement? Let's take SEO as an example. Let's say that you would never want your SEO report to be under a 90%. Then when this report is executed and that threshold is triggered, meaning your SEO score is under 90%. You will get an email. So then you can proactively change and optimize before these features are released to your end users.

So just in this one example, you can see how valuable and time saving this would be, especially for the overall improvement and speed of your end-to-end site.

This is Google lighthouse reporting automatically integrated with your Adobe AEM right out of the box.
