This is the original video I had intended to use when I released my cover back in October 2023. Filmed while solo traveling in Rome, my vision was to juxtapose the feeling of being so isolated from the outside world, almost nonexistent, while also being so very present and center stage in one’s own world, whatever that world looks like, for better or for worse.
I love that life can be so communal at times, I really do! I love learning from and loving on other people! But I know myself, I also tend to abandon my true self around certain people/experiences, and let others’ desires and dreams affect mine a little too much. I need space to breathe and grow. When I’m alone, I can clear away this fog and really focus on me, my dreams, my life, my growth!
I say all this to say, don’t be scared of being alone. Some of the most inspirational and powerful moments of my life, I’ve experienced alone. And that’s okay! Get to know yourself! Love yourself! I think im stronger for it! But what do I know?
And by the way, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for listening first and foremost, but also for continuing to love and support me, in real life and online, as I grow through life and pursue my own dreams & callings!
I have some more artistic treats in store for you this year and NOT JUST MUSIC …… Okay, the treats are for my inner child—I do all this for my inner child. BUUUUT I do hope that what I continue to create, in whatever form (keeping that a secret right now), resonates with and inspires someone out there! Just one person.
