The issue is Davinci Resolve Doesnt support most of the formats on linux
list of supported formats are as follows

you will need to convert your videos to a supported format using the following application
Avidemux : Video Output : Mpeg4 ASP (ff)
Audio Output : MP3 (lame)
Output Format: MOV Muxer

Settings for converting videos to a format that support Davinci Resolve 18 Avidemux
Output Export Settings used for Davinci Resolve:
Format : Quicktime
Codec : DNxHR
Type: DNxHR 444 12-bit
The exported output is pretty large, you can use the following application to convert them to h264 which will reduce the size of exported project to usable size
Handbrake
install using flatpak
flatpak install fr.handbrake.ghb
settings used for conversion of Exported Video:
Preset : Official -- Production -- Production Max
Os used Pop OS
