Distribution Services in MicroStrategy (MSTR):-
With the scheduling capability in Intelligence Server, the Intelligence Server
executes report or document requests immediately after the requests are made. A
subscription allows these requests to be executed according to a specified
schedule. Users can create subscriptions for themselves, or the administrators can
subscribe users to reports. When a scheduled report (or document) is executed, a
cache is created for it and a message gets sent to the user’s inbox (History List). If
you want to deliver subscribed reports or documents to other users by email, file,
file transfer protocol (FTP), or print, you can do so using Distribution Services.
Distribution Services is an add on the component of Intelligence Server that enables
the scheduling and delivery of reports, dossiers, and documents to subscribers’
email accounts, file locations, and printers.
Using Distribution Services, you can set up information flows for yourself and
other users by subscribing to report and document deliveries. Users can freely
personalize these deliveries by selecting delivery formats and locations
