ABU 501 - Made in Sweden - Closed Face Match & Trotting Fixed Spool Reel.
Classic Abu "Match" reel. Great for light float fishing, trotting and one handed match casting. The 501 has backwind with no actual anti-reverse, the pawl being a component of the drag. For many fans of this type of reel the Abu 501 is still the best and many even remove the anti-reverse from the later 506 to make it more like the 501.
