Los Angeles WILDFIRE : Causes, Impact & Response
As of January 30, 2025, the Los Angeles area is recovering from significant wildfires that began on January 7. The Palisades Fire, which ignited near the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, has burned approximately 23,448 acres and is currently 95% contained. The fire destroyed over 6,800 structures and resulted in 12 fatalities.
