Sanibel, Florida Vacation Vlog (2022) - Day 8
Yes, I'm aware it's been OVER 2 YEARS since I came back from this trip, but better late than never! Here's the footage from the last day of my trip to Sanibel in 2022. On top of my laziness prohibiting me from editing this vlog, I also encountered numerous issues while editing because I tried to edit modern iPhone files with a 10+ year old video editing software on my Windows PC. iPhone and Windows aren't exactly known for getting along nicely, let alone an iPhone and a 13 year old video editing software. Although the vlog is only 12 minutes long, I had to split all the files among 6 different Vegas Pro save files, and separately render those into a total of 24 smaller clips. I then combined those 24 files into a single Vegas Pro save, and rendered that in its entirety, which is the video you're watching now. On top of that, many crashes happened, and there was this one save file that kept corrupting; it took me two separate attempts to fix it. Yes, I could have just used my Mac to edit this video just like I did for the rest of the vlogs in this series, but storage on my Mac is somewhat of an issue. Despite the huge amount of procrastination on my end, as well as the countless technical difficulties, the vlog finally made it to YouTube! Also, the end of the vlog features a small tribute to Sanibel and their resilience in dealing with Hurricane Ian. The final feature of the vlog is a highlight from each day of the trip in reverse.
