It's an exciting day for Aiman, his brother Hizami and his sister Anisa, but a hectic day for their parents. On this beautiful Sunday morning on June 24, 2018 they got up early to begin their road trip from New Haven, Connecticut to Providence, Rhode Island where Aiman will be spending the next two weeks at Brown University for a summer residential Pre-College Program.

At Brown, Aiman will be studying Mechanical Engineering: How Lizards Run on Water and Other Incredible Feats of Fluid. It is a STEM II program (more on that below).

This is the first video in the series of multiple vlogs in which Aiman will share his experiences at this amazing Ivy League campus. This introductory video is mainly about the check-in and the registration processes for those who are curious about them and perhaps might also benefit future students and/or their parents. Subsequent videos will be uploaded once they've been edited.

As with most college campuses, parking is always a challenge. However, Brown has made the process painless, easy and efficient. There was a dedicated location for parents to drop off luggage, and then vehicles can be parked elsewhere along the nearby streets. There were plenty of staff available and they were very helpful.

The registration window is short, between 10 am and 1 pm, followed by an orientation at 2 pm. Unfortunately, Aiman's parents will have to head up to Cambridge, Massachusetts to drop off Hizami who will be attending a 2 weeks summer pre-college program at Harvard University. Afterwards they have to drop off Anisa at Northeastern University in Boston for her co-op program.

The registration window for Hizami at Harvard is 1 to 3 pm, which means they have to arrive at Harvard Campus by 2 pm. Providence and Boston is about an hour drive.
