Phase controlled rectifier which uses silicon controlled rectifier has many applications. Single phase Full wave controlled converters are of two types midpoint converter or centre tapped converter and full bridge converter. The bridge type configuration is widely used in many applications.
A fully controlled converter feeding RLE load can act as a rectifier or inverter by varying the firing angle. Thus wide control of output voltage is possible with fully controlled bridge rectifier.
This video helps to give the power electronic concepts in a simple and easily understandable way so that even non electric people could get the point.
It will also be helpful for those who prepare for competitive exam and GATE exam.
Hope the content helps you.
