DIYNate walks through using his approach to cleaning out a sink using a drain zip. He discusses the single use vs. multi-use consideration (can be a little dirty to use a drain cleaning tool more than once, but if you don't mind cleaning it off, you can get more mileage than just one and done). The video shows the zip tool itself, then how he fixes his slow draining sink with the zip, and then moves on to clean out his wife's sink more as well. One sink he takes the drain stopper out and the other sink he leaves it in - both approaches seemed to work well!

Good luck - hope this repair works well for you! Nothing like dealing with a slow draining sink but this approach should make it relatively painless and hopefully save you from calling a plumber!
