Top tips for communication skills for agriculture
This film of top tips was made by the next group of agri-professionals to enjoy three days on a remarkable training course to build their communication skills. They all feel that communicating well has never been more important for UK agriculture.
The course is open to those working in agricultural science, farming and ancillary industries in East Anglia for whom the ability to present their work and ideas clearly is integral to their careers. It is funded by the John Forrest Award supported by the Felix Thornley Cobbold Agricultural Trust and The Morley Agricultural Foundation and the training is provided by Green Shoots Productions. The skills covered on the course include how to speak and write better, present powerfully, facilitate and steer meaningful discussion, make best professional use of social media, take better photos and make and use film.
Over the last ten years the course has benefitted a wide range of professionals including farmers, farm managers, researchers, trials managers, agronomists, livestock specialists and machinery operators.
