Communication Skills Training - John Forrest Award - January 2020
One of the best ways to learn how to make a film is have a go at making one!
Back in January 2020, the 11th group of eight agri-professionals to undergo three days of in-depth communication skills training did just that. It was all part of the three days of learning from Green Shoots and other tutors at Madingley Hall, Cambridge.
The course is financed through the legacy of remarkable Suffolk farmer John Forrest combined with the support of the Felix Cobbold Trust and The Morley Agricultural Foundation.
It’s a testing time with sessions and tasks late into each evening, but never a dull moment. A carefully selected succession of tutors give tips and insights as well as suggestions and useful techniques in communicating better in person one-to-one, to large groups, by chairing discussions, being interviewed for TV and radio, using social media professionally and - as you see here on YouTube - through DIY film-making.
The course will run again next January for another group of East Anglian agri-professionals.
