Lexus GS - adjustable upper control arm CMS861207 - unboxing and installation
Hello everyone!
Here is an unboxing and installation video for the Mevotech adjustable upper control arm, part number CMS861207. The part number should fit 1998-2005 Lexus GS and Toyota Aristo vehicles. A few years ago I had a 1998 Toyota Aristo and I bought the same part number to replace the failed eBay upper control arms. I recommend these control arms if you are keeping the vehicle. These will give you adjustability without breaking the bank(compared to other adjustable units).
Although Mevotech is on the outside of the box, there are SPC parts on the inside. In the box you will get the arm complete with bushings, a ball joint, and installation instructions. It is the same part number for both sides but which way you install the ball joint will determine which side the arm can be installed. These arms allow for camber and caster adjustment.
The installation is pretty straight forward. No special tools are required expect for a torque wrench. The hardest part is getting the bolts in and out for the upper control are but I did not struggle for long. It took me about 45 minutes to do this side.
