Lexus GS door lock actuator replacement - ASMR
Hello everyone!
Here's another video for the GS series. This one is for the left rear door lock actuator. The actuators are a common issue for these vehicles and other Toyota and Lexus models. Apparently it is the motor within the actuator but I bought the whole actuator for a reasonable price.
I had to remove the door panel four times with this job. The first time I forgot to plug in the two connectors before putting everything back together. The second time I'm not sure why it didn't work. I pulled it a third time to check the actuator clips...and I forgot to reinstall the cover so I had to remove the panel a fourth time. Anyways, if you are planning on doing this job, test functionality of the actuator as you are reinstalling the parts you removed. This could save you some time by not having to do it four times.
