Very often we hear from our guests: "EEEE I know the pasty", or "Yes, we've eaten pasty before, many times"... However, when they let us convince them and we take them to taste this legendary Szczecin wonder, people usually open their eyes wide with surprise and say: "Well, it really is something different than anything else!"
The Szczecin pastry is shrouded in a very interesting story from 1969, related to a pierogi-making machine bought from the Russian army and converted into something that revolutionized the Szczecin market. Thanks to this enterprising approach, one of the first fast-food restaurants in Poland, "Pasztecik", was created in Szczecin.
Its taste is different than anything else. If you haven't had the chance to be in Szczecin and try it, this is a great opportunity.
After many attempts in our kitchen to recreate this local delicacy as faithfully as possible, we managed to make something that not only resembles the taste of the legendary Szczecin pasty, but in our opinion tastes even better! Although it is known that every seller praises his goods, you risk nothing, and maybe you will also fall in love with this taste! ;)
