Creating Mettaton EX from UNDERTALE in 3D - [Blender Stylized Modeling, Shading & Rigging Timelapse]
At last, here's the Mettaton EX timelapse I've teased in previous videos. I faced the unique challenge of making a character which is organic in shape, but also largely composed of hard-surface parts. This one also dips a little deeper into the rigging process, since his arms were pretty unique. Hope y'all enjoy! 🦵
Disclaimer: This isn't an industry-standard workflow, nor is it a tutorial. This is a glimpse into how I work on my personal stuff, so some practices here might not be ideal in a production pipeline. Still, I hope you can take something useful away from this!! If the commentary text is too small for you to read, feel free to enable subtitles.
