THE CLIENT HAD NO NBN FOR 1 MONTH
ARCS was requested to attend a block of units in Kogarah, to repair & inspect the backbone cabling with a block of units.
We were informed another company had recently attended and had cut cable to place Bp & scotch lock connectors. They inform the client all the cabling needed to be replaced.
We placed a line toner at the socket in the unit to trace the line to the MDF, the client showed us the cupboard where the cables were cut and rejoined.
After some searching, we located the IDF next to the lift on the 1st floor open the door and found the Krone block corroded, we removed the cable pairs from the blocks and completed a bypassed connection.
We also found this to be the same in the carpark (underground), we did also need to transpose a pair from the MDF to the IDF to fully restore the service.
Are you having trouble with drops or poor connection speed in your unit?
Could you cable or MDF look like this?
We can undertake testing and repairs or replace cabling.
Also, this site requires new KRONE IDC blocks and the cabling to be terminated.
