Jayakumar Chockalingam is a Librarian at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, and has been with the Institute leading the Library Team since March 2016. Prior to joining IITR, he was with the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali campus, as Associate Director, Learning Resource Centre; Reference Librarian at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam; and also served as Librarian at the Radio Astronomy Centre (TIFR), Ooty. He started his professional career as a School Librarian, Good Shepherd Public School, Ooty in the year 1984. His interests include the design and planning of libraries; implementing innovative information services; resource evaluation and implementation; and imparting resource discovery tools and techniques.
