Career Readiness Summit 2023
Insular Foundation held the Career Readiness Summit on October 14, 2023, at the Ballroom of the Insular Life Bldg. Ayala Ave, Makati City. The Summit was attended by Insular Foundation's Gold Eagle scholars from UP Diliman and its 5 other provincial partner schools namely Aurora State College of Technology, Benguet State University, Bohol Island State University, Central Mindanao University, and Davao Oriental State University; Insular Life's Company Scholars; and graduating students from Asia Pacific College, CEU-Makati, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. It was also livestreamed for Zoom participants.
Ms. Linartes Viloria (National Project Coordinator, Women in STEM Workforce Readiness and Development Programme, ILO), Mr. Efren Caringal (Chief Transformation Officer, InLife), and Ms. Lou Sabrina Ongkiko (Master Teacher I, Culiat Elementary School) shared relatable experiences and provided practical insights to help our future jobseekers navigate employment and workplace culture in the post-Covid times. Attendees also participated in breakout sessions related to soft skills such as communication, teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, and empathy and emotional intelligence.
