Adam von Kühlhaus- porucznik służący niegdyś francuskiemu królowi Ludwikowi XIII i w niedługim czasie przystąpił do budowy pałacu.
Thirty Years' War, the Austrians blew up the castle because they were fed up with conquering it. And they did it several times, taking turns with the Swedes. The destroyed castle was never rebuilt. The local population began to use what was left as free building material.
The local estates, together with the ruins of the stronghold, were bought in 1653 by Adam von Kühlhaus, a lieutenant who once served the French King Louis XIII, and soon started building the palace. Within a decade, a baroque residence was built at the foot of the stronghold, in the former outer bailey, where a knight's residence was located in the 13th century. A garden with interesting trees and fountains using a water supply system from the mid-16th century was established next to it.
