Early Afternoon Takeoffs | Salt Lake City Planespotting Mar ’22 Pt. 2
Watching some takeoffs to the south off Runway 16R—until the very end, when the winds shifted, and they changed runway directions. I was lucky to see JetBlue’s NY Jets special livery. I also caught a brief glimpse of SLC’s first regularly scheduled A330neo flight as it taxied to the gate. Delta restarted it’s Paris-CDG service a couple of weeks before this, after it was canceled at the beginning of the pandemic. For the first two weeks, it was operated with an A330-300, but starting March 26th, it was moved to the A330-900. It was also the first day the Amsterdam flight was downgauged from an A330-300 to a -200. This was short-lived, however, as two weeks later, that flight would also move to the -900.
