Weird Winds on a Busy Afternoon (w/ Two Go-Arounds) | Salt Lake City Planespotting Apr ’22 Pt. 2
Picking up where I left off in the first video of this two-part series, showing aircraft movements on Runway 34L during the midday peak. I saw two go-arounds that afternoon, which I assume were due to the wind. It wasn’t exactly a windy day, but as the afternoon went on, the winds became really variable and unpredictable—it would be totally calm for a few minutes, then get super blustery out of nowhere for a few minutes, then die down completely again. Also featured in this video are the two A330neos I had just seen land taking off to head across the Atlantic.
