Freshly updated for 1.4.7, I have improved upon my original Lighthouse design to reduce its demand on the CPU. Previously without Minema I would be brought to almost a standstill turning the lighthouse on (and with Minema still a long rendering time). In this current iteration, I can still play Minecraft at an appreciable frame-rate when it is active.

There is some minor corruption that has arisen during the uploading process, though fortunately this mostly only affects subtitle space.

During simplification, I also came across a means of reducing its size even further which is covered briefly towards the end. A full tutorial won't be given for the smaller version, since it's primarily the same mechanism as covered in the original. Likewise, the same principle that shrinks it can also be used to expand it up to six blocks per side compared to the original's four and the mini-version's three.

The lighthouse displayed at the end is not actually turned on because it was the first recording I made of the sequence and I forgot, but the convenient lightning strike locations made it too good to pass up on.

There is one... easter egg of sorts. Of course considering my channel name I could hardly avoid such a reference for too long.

At least some basic familiarity with my original design is required to fully appreciate this video:    • Minecraft - Revolving Lighthouse Tutorial ...
