Tolland Ma VFD Water Transfer Training
A quick video of a mutual-aid town training event between the volunteer fire departments of my town Tolland Ma and Sandisfield Ma. This drill simulates a long narrow driveway popular in the rural towns of Western Massachusetts. Teams strategize to the placement of a portable pond that is continuously filled by Tanking operations from local ponds, lakes, rivers, or dry hydrants. The base Engine then can pump to the Engine at the scene filling its tank and supplying trash lines putting water on the fire.
