In this video, I show how to separate potassium chloride from light salt. My goal in conducting this separation chemistry experiment is to use potassium chloride as a reagent for future chemistry experiments. Throughout the video, I explain how to perform the process of separating mixtures in practice—in this case, separating two salts from an aqueous solution based on the differences in the solubility coefficients of each salt. The salt is separated, and the crystals are washed with ice water and ice-cold alcohol after the potassium chloride crystallization process is complete. In addition to explaining the entire process in detail, the video also explains the separation using three graphs of the salts' solubility curves, analyzing their behavior together and separately.

Finally, I briefly explain what light salt is, how it works, and the advantages of using it.
