It's been a long while since I uploaded anything. Life has been busy and hectic. The world around has gone crazy. Many things have happened in the past year.
Our daughter started her first year at Queen's university in Kingston... Bittersweet moments of children growing up and leaving the nest..
My old piano got older and became too noisy for any recordings and I was waiting and waiting, and waiting again for the new piano to arrive - it took 13 whole months! And then just like that, one day before Xmas, amidst a horrible ice/snow-storm with hurricane winds I got my biggest Xmas gift ever - this new grand piano. From Kawai baby grand to this professional conservatory grand piano from the same Kawai - what a difference it makes! I am still getting used to it but what a sound!
The orchestral composition that was recorded by Budapest Orchestra two years ago... was selected to be used in the upcoming ballet show in Leipzig! And then they also asked for the original piano solo version of the same piece! So, two of my compositions will be performed live by Leipzig orchestra for the ballet that is based on one of my favorite stories - "The Little Prince"! I can't even express my feelings about that, it feels totally surreal. I will need a handkerchief size of a tablecloth because.. I am actually flying to Leipzig to attend the premiere and meet the choreographer and conductor!
And finally, my husband and I finished composing the second multi-instrumental album - a sequel to the "Abracadabra!" that we released three years ago. The new album is called "Metamorfosi" and it explores the same themes of magical transformations but now it involves even more instruments! In addition to the new piano, two Hang drums and my voice there will be cello, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitars, ethnic flute and drums! We started working with session musicians a couple weeks ago and track by track this album is coming to live! Hopefully we will be able to release it by the end of this year!
