Tyre Blowout... What Do You Do?
A wet and windy ride around the Hertfordshire countryside, when I got a massive rear tyre blowout. I replaced the tube, in the rain in a small village where it happened. But then I realised that there was a split in the sidewall of my tyre. That's more terminal. The replacement tube was pushing through, meaning that it might puncture again at any moment. I only had a single tube with me, and the puncture on the old tube was big meaning it couldn't easily be fixed.
How close was the nearest bike shop? I could be looking at a walk for a few miles...
