HOW TO SAVE YOUR MEMORY FROM GOING TO 0 BYTES
I was recently having trouble with my laptop's memory getting very dangerously low to the point that it reached 0 BYTES...... couldn't do anything else with it otherwise it would freeze and/or lock up my laptop..... then I would be screwed. So,I reached out to the SOUNDSWITCH team to ask if there would be no problem with me being able to COMPRESS the folder(s) in regards to SS and I proceed to take a gamble on it..... and went ahead and compresses all of the SS folders including its subfolders which thankfully for me...... IT WORKED AND GAVE ME SOME MUCH- NEEDED SPACE IN MY MAIN LAPTOP DRIVE which runs the whole thing. I will be updating my main drive with my Samsung EVO 990 1TB which I'll probably add another 1 to 3 TBs more on this laptop until I get my other 7800 series DELL PRECISION laptop to replace this one which having 64GBs of RAM REALLY HELPS. Also, in the video I share with y'all how to add your fixture(s) and the reason you must redo your Autoscripted/Custom made lightshow(s) even if you've already did this before adding some more fixtures to your set.I know that part really sucks at the moment, but hopefully the people at SOUNDSWITCH can do something about this and fix it for us to help us out with the workflow and efficiency with less time consumption for us....... if not, it'll still be done the way I've been doing where you'll just have no choice but to REDO THE WHOLE ENTIRE SONG(S)/FOLDER(S). Another thing to..... you don't have to have any hardware and/or fixture(s)/light(s) connected when Autoscripting or creating your lightshow(s)..... the only time I see this need is for your movers which depending on the venue will always change.
