It's highly underrated
Using this product truly minimizes the need for water changes. I've been using this product for years with great success. Instead of using it weekly, I divide the weekly dose by about 5 and add that to the water daily. Doing this daily maintains a constant slight mineralization which is so helpful to the fish, plants and water quality in general. The biological filter also benefits from the mineralization. The beneficial bacteria in the gravel feed on the polymer granules contained in this product converting nitrates to nitrogen gas thus fully completing the nitrogen cycle. My tanks are well stocked with fish and the nitrates are below 10 PPM, phosphates are near 0 with only one 5 per cent water change every 4 to 6 weeks. I also maintain a strong biological filter using Seachem Matrix in my cannister filters. I have found that not using Tetra Easy Balance Plus caused nitrates and phosphates to rise and my fishes weren't as robust. This stuff is the best!
