Air output is higher than other battery powered pumps.
Highest air output when compared to other similar air pumps. 4watts vs 2 watts of the other pumps. Comes with more stuff- tubing, diffusers, etc. Price is about the same for more power. I need as much air as possible if electricity goes and this is the only batteried powered air pump with 4 watts. You can adjust pump ourput if you want longer battery life. I have a D cell battery backup as well so battery life is not a huge concern for me. This is for overnight emergencies or when I'm away to give time to respond to blackouts. Connect it to a small portable solar panel (I use for an outdoor pond) and you will have no worries.
