We spent two nights in New York City after the Queen Anne maiden transatlantic cruise, in order to see this great city again and experience the exciting moment of the inauguration of the US 47th President. The last time we visited New York was 2011 and the 9/11 memorial was not built yet. This time we stayed in Wall Street and from there we traveled by subway to some of the tourist attractions, e.g. the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, Macy's, United Nation, and St Patrick's Cathedral, etc. We also took a ferry ride to from Pier 11 to Bay Bridge so that we could get a better view of the skylines of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The first night we had lobster and crab rolls for dinner instead of oysters and seafoods in a restaurant in Grand Central Terminal (they close in weekends). The second night we had pastas in an Italian restaurant in Wall Street area. The heavy snow on the second day covered the Big Apple with inches of snow and changed the colourful city to radiant white. In the third morning we spent some time watching TV on the inauguration of the 47th US President, what a momentous moment in history. We managed to see some friends and cousins in this 3-day trip to New York. Enjoy!
