As artificial intelligence models grow more complex, it becomes increasingly challenging to meet the power and compute demands. Hewlett Packard Labs is looking at an analog approach to dramatically increase the potential number of calculations per second over using GPUs, while simultaneously reducing latency and power consumption. At HPE Discover, Martin Foltin explained how this analog solution works and the AI performance benefits being analyzed in lab environments.
