How to use Plogue's Alter/Ego and Chipspeech singing synths to make rhythmic pads by having them sing, in this case, 96 consonants in a row. I explain how to actually get that to fit a sound, what parameters are important for tweaking the timbre, and how to make the pads evolve and give them a little more life. It's the mad science of singing robots.

I came up with this working on a song for a human singer, where I did this sort of thing as a background pad synth during the verses. The sound is kind of reminescent of the gated pads on classic trance tracks, and maybe also has a bit of a Krautrock vibe.
