Double Bass Technique: Advanced Attention Getting Devices
An instructional video by Drogomir Smolken demonstrating some advanced techniques for the double bass as well as electric upright bass. All of them say two things. First they say "LOOK" and then they say "AT ME". These secret and long-lost techniques would have been in Simandl volume 7, had Franz Simandl lived long enough to produce seven volumes of his method.
Please note that these are advanced techniques - it is imperative to learn the more basic techniques first. It is even more important to be sufficiently large and ornery that no one will want to make fun of you.
