Lens flares are amazing when we need them, but they are equally annoying when we don’t need them, so we love them when we need them and hate them when we don’t.
You may not find the right angle or light to capture the lens flare in the production phase, that is why lens flares are added in post-production, and it is easier to add them later, you can control the angle and intensity of light
Lens flare adds value even in a static scene or a silent scene, they give a sense of involvement, and you feel related and connected.
Use it where it can add value, don’t overdo it because it can be annoying if used more than required.
