Den Helder Airport a.k.a. Maritime Air Base De Kooy; a great General Aviation destination - S03 E05

During the week leading up to this flight, I read about Den Helder Airport in the magazine of AOPA The Netherlands. So I texted Kevin, one of my pilot friends and resident guests on my channel, if he was interested in tagging along. And of course, he was! :)
Den Helder Airport is also knows as Maritime Air Base De Kooy, since it's both a civil airport and a naval air station. Because of that, it's not a very common destination to a lot of General Aviation pilots. Which is unfortunate, because it's a very modern, fully equipped airport, with a lot of facilities and open to General Aviation.
All in all incentive enough for me and Kevin to give Den Helder Airport a visit. As it turned out, just in time to be able to get back home, due to a rapid warmfront with almost no visibility.
