Applied Elasticated Waistband [+ Stitch in the ditch] | Sewing Tutorial | Sew Noob | Sew Rogue
An elasticated waistband can add comfort to a variety of garment types, such as skirts, dresses, pants, and even tops.
In this Sew Noob episode, I construct an applied elasticated waistband, which consists of two pattern pieces, to be able to create a casing to enclose the elastic. Furthermore, I also show you how to measure and mark in the elastic for your waistband, to ensure an even fit. A sewing technique called 'Stitch in the ditch' is also demonstrated, to finish off the applied elasticated waistband.
This is a beginner friendly sewing tutorial.
