Wyze launches a new pair of smart plugs to control your appliances for $ 15.
Smart appliance manufacturer Wyze is expanding its line to include a new connected wall socket. The device is quite standard: it connects to a power outlet, communicates with the Wyze mobile application and allows you to monitor and control the power of anything that is connected, be it a lamp or a coffee maker.
It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but notably not with Apple HomeKit, as is the case with many smart plugs. It also has some nice features, such as programming, a maximum load of 15 amps for devices that consume more energy and a vacation mode that turns on certain random lighting devices to give the appearance that you are at home. The plugs work with existing Wyze cameras and home security sensors so you can synchronize automation with each other, such as turning an appliance on or off when a door is opened or closed.
