The $ 79 Razer Viper is the lightest wired gaming mouse I've used. It weighs only 69 grams, which I learned is the weight of two standard size bulbs. The Viper has an ambidextrous design adapts to left-handed and right-handed people with two macro buttons on each side. Nor does it come at the expense of innovative hardware features.
Razer is also doing great business with his new Speedflex braided cable that comes out of the mouse. It is lightweight, like the mouse, and its soft texture helps prevent problems as it slides along the mouse pad. The fabric that is wrapped around the cable resembles that used in most other braided cables, but the Viper cable is much more flexible and feels more like a real fabric than other braided cables.
The Viper is slim in terms of features, but, as expected, Razer pressed a Chroma LED inside. The color and lighting pattern of the Razer logo on the top can be customized in the complementary Razer Synapse application, and it is quite easy to find a configuration that looks off, or if you wish, quite the opposite. The only other LED on this mouse is at the bottom, where you will find a textured button next to it that changes the DPI settings.
