The Elusive Eastern Gray Treefrog! (ft. The Wildlife Brothers)
The Eastern Gray Treefrog also known as the Northern Gray treefrog here in New England, is the only true treefrog species native to New England! Absolutely gorgeous little frogs, the eastern gray treefrog can range from light grays, to browns, and even green! Using superb camouflage to look like a piece of lichen and blend in to their forest environments, this treefrog uses its coloration to avoid predators. However if that doesn't work they have something called aposymatic coloration that works as a warning to predators that they're toxic! The bright under legs on these frogs helps warn predators that they might want to look for another meal. Stunning treefrogs, the eastern gray is just a fantastic animal and before tonight I'd never seen so many in my life! I had the massive privilege of being invited by the Wildlife Brothers to make this video!
