After being away from my second home for nearly three years, I thought that a fast way to readapt to African life would be to be in an atmosphere that I love - among animals.
The Lion and Safari Park is one of the must-see places for anyone visiting Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located just under an hours drive from Sandton towards the Hartbeestpoort Dam. In 2016 the park was moved from its previous location with major improvements taking place including much larger living space for the animals, which also gives tourists the real Safari experience, multiple gift stores and more.
Visitors have the option of a guided safari or self drive in your own vehicle and can expect to see Lions, Zebras, Wild Dogs, Hyaenas, Springbok, Cheetahs and more.
