Beltane blessings! 💙💙💙 Just me attempting to make a Beltane crown out of bluebells whilst swearing as the bloody thing kept disintegrating!
I’ve been so through such a massive change recently. I had a big health scare in January, which turned out to be much more benign than anticipated, but it woke me up. To be honest, I needed to wake up because I’ve spent years hating myself for various reasons, but enough’s enough! Life is too damn short. Something shifted as a result of the health scare and I realised how much I WANT TO LIVE, (there’s nothing quite like facing death to make you realise how much you genuinely appreciate life) and not only that, but I want to enjoy my body, enjoy being me and make the absolute most out of it. I feel like a totally different person from how I felt pre-January. The self hate really has quietened down a lot since then, and I’ve totally changed most things about my lifestyle (exercise, food, daring to dress up and wear make-up and jewellery again, etc). I think the menopause is also helping to give self-hate the boot 💪. So here I am, being silly for the hell of it, enjoying being in my body in this beautiful weather, and crowning myself with bluebells on the first day of summer. Go make yourself a crown and enjoy being you and Happy Beltane. ☺️ 💙🩵💜💛
