Paper Chromatography Ink Experiment - Is Black Ink Really Black?
In this science experiment, we will see if black ink is really black or a mixture of other coloured pigments? For this we will use paper chromatography – which is a special technique for separation and identification of the constituents of a mixture.
Different manufactures have different formula for what chemicals they mix together to make their black ink. We will first separate the coloured constituents in black ink and then discuss how it works.
